About Polishöchi and Nieschberg

Anyone hiking in the Appenzellerland must expect hilly terrain. On the hike from Herisau Wilen to Polishöchi and back via the Nieschberg, the ascents and descents are particularly pronounced. Views of the rolling landscape, the Alpstein, and the surrounding villages compensate for the effort. And when spring displays itself in full blossom and the birds are chirping, the exploration becomes a delight for all the senses.
