Description
Brambrüesch, the local mountain of Chur, which rises to 2200 meters with the peak of the historic Dreibündenstein, is only a stone's throw from the old town. About a quarter of an hour after boarding the gondola, you are already exactly 1000 meters higher – right in a natural snow paradise.
From the starting point on the plateau, this easy circular route leads clockwise first along the winter hiking trail to the valley station of the ski lift. After a short ascent along the lift, the flat path enters an idyllic, white forest landscape. You are not far from Brambrüesch and enjoy wading through the silence until you reach a beautiful plateau ideal for a break. From the forest clearing, the path leads downward back to the starting point at the mountain station.
This route is easy to walk and ideal for snowshoe beginners. Because the terrain is gentle and the route runs almost entirely through the forest, it is easily doable even in poor visibility or snowfall. And if the weather ever gets too bad: Brambrüesch offers several cozy mountain restaurants to warm up.
