Versatile ski area
The Andermatt-Nätschen-Gütsch area, located on the sunny side, provides access to a total of 180 kilometers of slopes in Andermatt. The valley station is connected to the Andermatt train station by a moving carpet. This area alone thrills winter sports enthusiasts of all levels with its varied slopes. Skiers of all levels will have their work cut out for them. In addition, an annually renewed snowpark at an altitude of 2,300 meters places no limits on freestylers' creativity.
Gourmet restaurant
The kitchens of the gourmet restaurants on the Gütsch are also located at 40 meters above sea level. Discerning gourmets can enjoy the creations of the upscale Japanese restaurant THE CHEDI or savor the simple cuisine of the Gütsch, where 2007 Chef of the Year Markus Neff and his team work their magic. For those who prefer simpler things, the ski area offers a full range of culinary and sporting activities. From Gütsch you can reach the slopes and connected lifts of Sedrun and Disentis. The crossing is a great experience. Not only does the landscape and language change often during the journey, but also the weather conditions.
Valley Descent
If you are too tired to travel all the way down and back on skis, you can board the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway at any of the valley stations-the train ticket is included in your ski pass.
Tip for beginners
Beginners and slope enthusiasts will find practice runs in all the subareas, with the exception of the Gemsstock area, where there are expert skiers and freeriders with all kinds of variations. The fantastic view from the Gemsstock, at nearly 3,000 meters above sea level, the long, steep slopes and numerous powder runs are a delight and offer unforgettable experiences.
