Wooden Footbridge to Hurden
Rapperswil was already a popular stopover for travelers in the Middle Ages, as Lake Zurich lies on the historic pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. Where a simple plank footbridge once spanned the lake, an 841-meter-long wooden bridge now stretches across the water on 233 piles, leading to Hurden and inviting visitors to enjoy a special stroll.
