Wooden footbridge to Hurden
Rapperswil was already a popular stopover for travellers in the Middle Ages, as Lake Zurich lies on the historic pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. Where a simple wooden footbridge once spanned the lake, an 841-metre-long wooden bridge now crosses the water on 233 piles, leading to Hurden and inviting visitors to enjoy a special stroll.
