The journey begins on the motorboat or steamboat in Lucerne. From here, you will pass mystical bays, picturesque landscapes and places steeped in the history of primeval Switzerland. For example, you will see the Schiller Stone or the Rütli meadow, where Switzerland was founded in 1291. In Flüelen, you transfer from the boat to the 1st class panoramic train. The train continues along the world-famous and historic Gotthard route towards Ticino. You will see the church at Wassen three times, which has achieved world fame thanks to its bold railroad layout with its many helical tunnels. On the journey through the mighty Reuss Valley in Uri and the Gotthard Tunnel, which opened in 1882, you will hear exciting stories about the unique Gotthard region. Finally, the varied Mediterranean landscape of Ticino awaits you.
