The funicular railway connects the centre of Locarno with the pilgrimage site of Madonna del Sasso in Orselina. The railway not only offers a convenient connection to the shrine, but also a link to the aerial cableway to Cardada, making it an ideal starting point for excursions into the surrounding mountains. The funicular railway runs every 15 minutes daily.
