Lighthouse on the Oberalp Pass
Description
The former front light from Hook of Holland, which was a 14-m-high lighthouse that shone out steadily for 70 years from the mouth of the Rhine at the other end of the river, now stands as a herald for the source of the Rhine on the Oberalp Pass. The replica creates a symbolic bridge between the source and the end of the Rhine that stretches all the way to Rotterdam. Countless skiers and snowshoe hikers set off from here on tours to the Pazolastock and down to snowy Lake Toma, the source of the Rhine. If you want to enjoy the best of both worlds, make plans now to return in the summer and visit this magical spot again.
