Crime scene 6 - Schartenfels/Lägern
Description
Fit hikers follow the Lägerngrat to the end point, the picturesque hilltop town of Regensberg/ZH.
Locust species generally indicate largely intact habitats: Take the sickle-winged grasshopper, for example. This also applies to butterflies such as the pearl-bordered fritillary, blue butterfly and admiral, all of which thrive thanks to the species-rich flora. Compared to the conspicuous blood-red cranesbill, the black-stemmed striped fern looks almost modest. However, like the shy smooth snake, they obviously feel at home on the dry, well-sunlit Lägernhang. The black redstart (young bird), originally a cliff dweller, is one of the first to make itself known early in the morning - often on roof ridges.
