Aargau Cantonal Museum of Viticulture - a little gem

Immerse yourself in the exciting history of Aargau viticulture and its wine culture. Your tour will take you over 4 wine-specific floors. The viticulture museum in Tegerfelden presents the entire diversity of Aargau wine. Over 1,000 exhibits illuminate the full spectrum of the topic of wine, including history, viticulture, technology, pressing, wine regions, winegrowing businesses and varietal studies. The museum was built in 1985 in the former Wiss-Trotte, the foundation stone of which dates back to 1788. The building houses unique witnesses to the past, such as a fully equipped cooperage and an old trott tree. The wine museum is a paradise for wine lovers. The focus is clearly on Aargau wine. Visitors can experience Aargau's wine culture here, for example on a guided tour by a knowledgeable museum guide (groups) or interactively and individually using a tablet. Wine tastings and aperitifs are also available on request.
