The Sessa Gold Mine is set in a location of enchanting beauty, and our guides are ready to lead you into the fascinating underground world; by traversing the Leonilde tunnel, you will discover the most spectacular and distinctive features of the mining landscape. You can venture even deeper into the bowels of the mine by exploring the Trudi tunnel, located seven meters underground.
It is an unforgettable experience - a blend of emotion and history suitable for everyone, from children to seniors - that allows you to relive the adventure of gold-bearing ore mining in Switzerland.
To round off your day, you can walk the Malcantone Mining Park Trail; this 8 km route features custom signage that guides you to the processing and extraction sites surrounding the mine. Along the way, you will also find refreshment stops and a charming small lake.

Visit guaranteed upon reservation.
The constant temperature inside the cave is 11-12 °C; we recommend you take along warm clothes. Furthermore, due to the slippery ground, the access to the cave is allowed only with appropriate shoes or boots.
Young children must be able to walk independently (baby carriers are not permitted).
Meet at the mine's information point 15 minutes before the guided tour begins.
Note: It takes 10 minutes to walk from the Mine car park to the information point.
