Trio Poetico: Musical Reading — open art museum

Works from the “Komm Glüückck” exhibition accompanied by music

The trio, founded in 2007 by musicians from the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, embodies its purpose in its very name: the creation of programs combining music and words. The name “Poetico” reveals that all programs are dedicated to musical works and poetry, which are always in an interactive relationship with one another. Poetry plays an important role in both the spoken texts and the musical works that frame the spoken contributions. For the exhibition’s matinee, this means an attempt to give a voice to several exhibitors by reciting from their diverse texts and to make many of the visible word formations tangible through an audible linguistic form, musically framed by wind works from modern classical music and jazz.

Verbal images are brought to life through sound. Featuring texts from the exhibition by Vreni Müller, Nina Wild, Jakob Morf, and Beate Stanislau.
