‘To Sing Is to Exist’ is a chamber concert dedicated to 20th- and 21st-century compositions based on texts by Rainer Maria Rilke. The programme includes works by Alma Mahler, Alban Berg, Paul Hindemith, Anton Webern, Stefano Gervasoni and a new composition by Mario Pagliarani. Also featured is Friedrich Nietzsche’s Gebet an das Leben, set to a text by Lou Salomé. Featuring Svea Schildknecht, Helmut Vogel, Anna D’Errico, the RMR Ensemble and Francesco Pavan, conductor.
