Description
Three stately castles, a national border and a treacherous murder form the backdrop to this crime trail, which takes you from Sargans through the Principality of Liechtenstein to idyllic Werdenberg. Along the way, you’ll encounter not only beautiful views, but also plenty of suspects who all seem to have skeletons in their cupboards.
Through towns, villages and over hill and dale, ‘Murder in the Castle’ draws you into a story full of intrigue, jealousy and greed. Piece things together, question everything and puzzle it out, but never lose sight of the goal: to unmask the murderer.
How it works
Getting there and starting:
Your journey begins with a comfortable train ride to Sargans. Once there, use your personal access code to unlock the crime trail on your smartphone.
Follow the clues along the crime trail:
You start your search for clues from Sargans railway station. Exciting puzzles, hidden clues and surprising twists await you along the route.
Solve the case and travel home in comfort:
If you have pieced all the clues together correctly, you will succeed in solving the case and convicting the culprit. The Crime Trail ends in Buchs. From there, you can travel home comfortably by train.
Tip: Along the route you’ll find numerous cafés and restaurants inviting you to take a short break. Use the time to compare notes, discuss suspects and develop new theories. If you like, you can combine the trip with a gentle hike – you’ll receive suggestions for this at the starting point in Sargans.
