The car-free mountain village of Stoos lies on the high plateau of the same name at the foot of the Fronalpstock. The summit of the local mountain is easily reached by the covered 4-seater chairlift. A breathtaking panoramic view awaits at the top - of ten lakes, the Pilatus, the Rigi, the Säntis, the high Alps and the Central Plateau as far as the Jura. At your feet, you can see Brunnen and the Rütli.

The sunny village is an ideal destination for vacations with children, as it offers hotels, vacation apartments and group accommodation in every price category. Even the journey up on the world's steepest funicular is an experience. The adventure continues on the mountain: there are 35 km of ski slopes of all levels of difficulty, picturesque cross-country ski trails, fast toboggan and airboard runs, beautiful winter hiking trails, marked snowshoe trails and cozy mountain huts. The large sun terraces with great views are also an annual attraction.
