Wengen village- Männlichen mountain station no. 45

The hiking trail up Männlichen, also known as the Gemsenweg, starts in the village centre of Wengen. At the beginning, you walk on an asphalt road. This soon gives way to a narrow mountain path. The route goes steadily uphill, as you make a difference in altitude of 1000 metres. Towards the end, the path runs through the avalanche barriers where, with a bit of luck, chamois can be spotted before you reach your destination, Männlichen.
