Vorab Trail (247)

From the Flims valley station, take the Arena Express up to the Nagens mountain station, from where you follow the signs for 247. A well-maintained gravel road leads up to the Vorab mountain station at 2571m. The rocks and crevasses polished by the ice of the Vorab glacier form an impressive work of natural art - and are a perfect playground for mountain bikers.

Behind the mountain station Vorab 3000 the trail starts over the rocks of the former Vorab firn, only the red and white colour markings show the way through the impassable landscape. The single-trail descent crosses the road and leads through alpine terrain. At the Camona Vorab, it meets the Masegn loop. The marked trail winds through the alpine rocky landscape and across alpine meadows down to Alp Sogn Martin. Here follows a short climb on the gravel road to Mughels, where the route joins the Nagens trail. At first still easy, it becomes technically more demanding in the middle section with rough root passages. Finally, the Runca Trail focuses on the flow experience.

The tour is suitable for advanced riders and is also easy to ride on an ebike. Safe riding in alpine terrain is a prerequisite.
