Up to the Wissegg Pass

The hike to Wissegg Pass from Trogen via Neuschwendi and Grosse Säge offers views of the hills and villages of the Mittelland and Vorderland regions of Appenzell as far as Lake Constance. Once at the top, the Säntis can be seen to the south. Most of the route leads along surfaced roads and well-maintained forest paths – and therefore remains easily accessible in winter.
