Description

Bellavista! It couldn't be more fitting that this route leads over the Bellavista terrace. But not only there – throughout the entire traverse of Piz Palü you have magnificent views. It starts from Rifugio Marco e Rosa, where soon the Crast’ Agüzza draws your eyes. Then it continues over the Bellavista terrace, which lives up to its name with its great views to the north. From the three summits of Piz Palü, you have impressive deep views into the north face. Beneath you, huge seracs threaten to collapse into the depths at any moment, filling you with awe. From the east summit, you descend steeply over the firn ridge. At about 40 degrees, this is the most difficult passage of this traverse. Then you need to find a way through the glacier break before going without difficulty to Berghaus Diavolezza. From there, you have a wonderful overview of the accomplished tour. Now sitting comfortably on the terrace, with a coffee in hand!
