The sunny winter trail W3

From Grindelwald take the gondola lift up to First. One last view of the massive peaks of the Schreckhorn and Wetterhorn and we’re off! A popular winter hiking trail leads past snow-covered Bachalp lake and then ascends the last  few arduous metres of elevation up to the Faulhorn. The so-called “Big Pintenfritz” starts here, leading down to Bussalp, where you can find refreshments in the mountain restaurant and recover from the rigours of the ascent. Once rested, you can either walk the last part of the trail or take the bus back to Grindelwald.
