The diverse one. «Solothurn–Balmberg–Weissenstein»

This bike trail begins at a leisurely pace in Solothurn’s old town, which is well worth seeing. Just a little further along, however, the first ascent begins, to the Balmberg mountain pass. From the top of the pass, there’s rough terrain up to the Weissenstein, where, if the weather is clear, you can enjoy an inspiring Alpine panorama from Säntis to Mont Blanc. It’s a flat ride on to Hinter-Weissenstein, with a brisk descent via Oberdorf, Falleren and Rüttenen and back to the starting point.
