Description
The toboggan run from Prätschli to Obersee is the perfect alternative to skiing in Arosa. Thanks to the free local bus, the short distance back to the village can be covered as often as you like. At the start, the valley is wide open, the Prätschli lies on the edge of the forest and offers a beautiful panoramic view of the mountain scenery of Arosa, Davos and Lenzerheide. The view can be enjoyed on the initially relatively flat toboggan run. Here you have to find out how to steer the sledge best - because after that it really gets going. On a relatively steep gradient, the sledge run dives into the light forest. It overcomes a few sharp bends and crosses the ski slope at the top of the logs. In an arc the finish line is reached at Arosa station. This is also where the Chur-Arosa line operated by the RhB ends. Right next door is the Obersee, which is now open for skating and hockey games in winter, depending on the thickness of the ice. It is also possible to continue by bus to Untersee and to add a downhill run to Litzirüti.The toboggan run has a few sharp bends and leads down through the forest on a relatively steep gradient to behind the station.
