SNOOC - Lü-Tschierv-sledding

Best Time of Year
Description
Lü is considered one of the darkest places in Switzerland. Because of the clear sky and the altitude, stars can be observed there very well. In winter Lü is the starting point for the high-altitude cross-country ski run and the toboggan run to Tschierv. The four-kilometre-long trail begins directly at the post bus stop and leads comfortably on regular terrain through snow-covered forests to Tschierv. Where the piste leaves the forest, the panorama opens up to the opposite side of the valley and towards the east. The Ortler massif, which presents itself in the background, is enormous: Tschierv is the destination of the descent. The uppermost valley community in the Val Müstair lies southeast of the Ofen Pass and borders on the Swiss National Park. Exciting: the residential buildings in Tschierv are influenced by the Engadine as well as by the nearby South Tyrol. Particularly worth seeing are the village parts of Chasuras, Plaz and Süsom Tschierv and the 15th century church of Tschierv with its restored organ.
