SNOOC - Longest sledding descent in the world - “Big Pintenfritz”

The starting point at First is reached from Grindelwald by cable car in about 20 minutes. From there, a marked winter hiking trail leads in just over 2 hours past Bachalpsee to Faulhorn - the highest point of this route. Besides the opportunity for a break, a unique panoramic view of many parts of Switzerland can be enjoyed at the top. The highlight follows at the end: the descent towards Bussalp and Grindelwald, covering a total of 15 kilometers and 1600 meters altitude difference.

The special name Big Pintenfritz is by the way traced back to the legendary innkeeper Fritz Bohren, who ran the «Pinte» (Hotel Bellevue) as well as the Faulhorn mountain hotel in Grindelwald.
