Schellen-Ursli tour

From the train station Ardez, the route leads steadily down the valley to the Inn bridge and afterwards steeply ascending to the pictorally quiet hamlet Sur En, in which the winter film shots of the cinema movie «Schellen-Ursli» have been produced. The well invites to stay, before the route continues in an easy up and down westward, passing Giarsun to Lavin. In Lavin, the tour leads over the sheltered wooden bridge and though the town center back eastward. At the eastern border of the village at the church, the train tracks and main road are crossed below and the longer ascent to Guarda begins. In Guarda, where the story of Schellen-Ursli was created and plays, it is worth to take a rest or a trip through the village. Following the ancient road westward, the route continues via the hamlet Bos-cha, every now and then with view over the valley on Sur En back to Ardez. The view over Ardez on the Unterengadiner Dolomites to the castle of Tarasp completes the tour as another lasting memory.
