Salaaser Kopf [SchweizMobil-Nr. 445]

The tour starts from the valley station of the mountain railway in Ravaisch. Continue along the Schergenbach stream to the church in Compatsch. Follow the dirt road to Alp Trida and on to the Viderjoch. Alternatively, you can take the comfortable double-decker railway to the Alptrider Sattel and continue with the Flimsattelbahn (N1) to the Viderjoch. From the Viderjoch, follow the border ridge up to the Greitspitze, where you will be rewarded with breathtaking views. A flowing single trail now leads via Salaaser Kopf for around 8 kilometres back to the Alptrider Sattel. This is a section where a little technical ability is an advantage from time to time. From here, the duty-free trail takes you back down into the valley to Samnaun-Laret. You then return to Samnaun village via the valley trail.
