Pfingstegg - Glacier Gorge No. 27

The cable car takes you to Pfingstegg (1386 m above sea level) in just a few minutes. From up here you can enjoy a wonderful view of Grindelwald and the surrounding mountains.

Several paths lead from Pfingstegg back into the valley, one of which leads you past the marble quarry and ends in the glacier gorge. You hike up and down in a gentle southerly direction to Wysseflüo, from there the path winds steeply downhill past the restaurant Marmorbruch, the former quarry site of Grindelwald marble and on to the glacier gorge. A visit to this impressive work of art in nature is well worthwhile! From the glacier gorge you can hike back to the village or take the bus, the bus stop is directly at the entrance to the glacier gorge.
