Bernina Group: Morteratsch Glacier Trail and Boval Hut

On the way to the retreating tongue of the Morteratsch Glacier, the third longest glacier in the Eastern Alps, signs have marked the position of the tongue in historical years for decades. Today there is a glacier educational trail here with 16 stations. After visiting the tongue (as far as one can reach), you return via Chünetta to the Boval hut, from where you can see how the Pers Glacier has meanwhile separated.
