Moorlandschaftspfad Etappe 4: Moorlandschaft Glaubenberg

No moor landscape of Switzerland is bigger! This moor land includes furthermore the sec-ond biggest total surface of peat bog and fen. The peat bogs are very significant which are developed very nicely in comparison of whole Switzerland. Special water biotopes like pools, little lakes, wellsprings, streams and waterfalls are conserved in high variety.

The long walking tour leads over the Hagleren (conservation area), the highest viewpoint, over paths in wild and primitive landscape with gores, mountain protection area and lakes.

Specials in the moor of Glaubenberg:

A: The Hagleren (viewpoint) with mountain pine-raised moos forest. This conservation area belongs to Pro Natura and has a size of 45 hectares. B: The species rich fen in the Bleikenboden are demanded spread suppliers (see point 10) C: The deep gore with the waterfall in the Chragen is called Chessiloch. D: The Aenggenlauenseeli is situated in the rock slide area at the foot of the Fuerstein and is the only natural lake in the Entlebuch. E: The Wasserfallenegg is surrounded with sagas. The dragon is buried in the Foehren-waeldchen inside the square wall. F: In the expanded fen you can see where the strewing is stored. G: The alp Bruederer is well-stocked with the buildings residential house, stable, cheese storage and chapel.

Note(s) The route is marked with the pointer «Moorlandschaftspfad» and you can also walk the tour in the opposite direction. Information about the timetable you can find on www.postauto.ch

We recommend dividing the route into two parts. The overnight stay is in the Staeldeli or in Fluehli.

During militarily exercises you have to take version B.

On this way you can link to the Moorlandschaftspfad Kleine Entlen. Otherwise you can order the bus from Gfellen to Entlebuch (min. 60 min. before, +41 (0)41 480 23 30). In Entlebuch you can take the train.
