Lake constance within reach, the alps in view

On the Guggenbühel the view opens up towards the east, with the Allgäu and Vorarlberg Alps on the horizon. Otherwise, the route is dominated by the lovely Appenzell hills and splendid farmhouses. The colour of the leaves on the trees and forest paths is a harbinger of the imminent winter.
