Hochhamm - wonderful prospects

Hikers can conveniently travel to Schönengrund, the starting point of this trail, by PostBus. Across meadows, through forests and past farmhouses, the path leads uphill with the unique natural beauty of the Appenzell Hinterland as backdrop. The last section of the route takes hikers along the mountain ridge up to the highest point of this tour, the Hochhamm mountain. There, the cosy terrace of the mountain inn of that name is the perfect place for a rest.
