Hiking through the oak forest

As a result of development and melioration, the aclas are increasingly losing their importance and the buildings are falling into disrepair. The scrub landscape with its dry meadows still offers great biodiversity, and the fairytale-like oak forests on blocky Verrucano rock are botanical sights. The giant spruce trees along the hiking trail are also a sight to behold.

From Brigels, the trail leads past the Escherstein/Crest la Crusch and down to the Aclas of Bacuns. Here you can take a pathless detour into the unique oak forest of Bacuns. Back on the hiking trail, descend to Run and at an acute angle to the Aclas of Zaniz. Shortly afterwards, a steep path branches off from the melioration road into the Uaul Zaniz. This is well marked, gradually flattens out and leads via Carneglias to Dardin/Mulin. Now follow the Senda Sursilvana back to Brigels.
