Description
The hike to Chamanna Cluozza is one of the classic routes in the only Swiss National Park. Originally built as a house for the first park ranger, the hut offers rooms and dormitories for 61 overnight guests. It is only accessible on foot and is an ideal starting point for hikes in the Val Cluozza, the first valley that the municipality of Zernez already made available to the emerging National Park in 1909. The hut warden family Nicole and Artur Naue run the hut with a lot of love for their guests and nature.
A hike to Chamanna Cluozza can be combined with the alpine challenging ascent of Piz Quattervals, a route over the Murtersattel to the Ofenpass road at the post bus stop Vallun Chafuol/P3 or over the Fuorcla Val Sassa into the Val Trupchun.
