Grindelwald Trail No. 23

A trail for those looking for a real physical challenge! From Burglauenen the route rises steeply from the very beginning towards Bussalp and there’s a height gain of 1500m to conquer in order to reach the high peaks and traverse to the Spitzen before heading down to Bachalpsee. Via the Blumenweg and Bachläger where the abundant Alpenrose blooms in May to July, you will reach the Berggasthaus at Waldspitz, well-loved for its delicious tarts and welcoming sun terrace. A shortcut takes you directly to Bort and the cableway station if you prefer the easy way down! The 28.3km route has a total height gain of 1850m and can be shortened by taking the bus to start out from Bussalp.
