Description

Already from the Gotschna mountain station, the imposing Grünhorn cannot be overlooked. On one side green overgrown, on the other rough rock. First you hike briefly on a wide road before you turn right towards the Grünhorn on a narrow hiking trail. For the ascent to the Grünhorn you should be surefooted and wear good shoes. The 200 meters of altitude difference on the Grünhorn are crisp and you will pass some hairpin bends until you reach the summit.

But you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Wolfgangpass, Lake Davos and the Prättigau. From the Grünhorn you hike further in the direction of Gmeinboden. There are always exposed places where the trail is very narrow, but no problem for sure-footed hikers. In certain places there are also steel ropes, which provide additional safety.Afterwards, there is another short climb up to the Parsennfurgga.

At the Parsennfurgga follows the descent towards the Parsennhütte, which is not demanding. At the Parsennhütte the hiking trail becomes a forest path again, which leads back to the mountain station of the Gotschna cable car.Now you have earned a break in the Gotschnagrat restaurant!
