Description

The Hasliberg offers a wide variety of cultural landscapes. Special gems are the Halgenfluh sun terrace and the two fore-terraces Gallenblatten and Soli.

From here you walk via Büel and the Feldmooswald forest to the sunny viewing terrace above the Halgenfluh. The view over the Hasliberg to Meiringen, the Rosenlaui and the Grimsel region is impressive. The varied terrain is also attractive. Small hollows and flat sections divide the slope, which is slightly terraced with dry stone walls. The park-like meadows in the nearby Obere Vorsess were awarded the cultural landscape prize of the Oberland-Ost region in 2009.

Through forest and over pastureland, you reach Birchegg and Hohfluh in the valley. The hamlet is part of the extensive municipality of Hasliberg. Two more scenic gems line the last section of the hike back to the Brünig Pass: The two Vorsasse Gallenblatten and Soli look like islands in the forest. Besides orchids, there are numerous butterflies to be discovered here. The meadows are richly structured with cairns, rocks and copses. These two gems were also awarded the cultural landscape prize of the Oberland-Ost region in 2014.
