Description
The route starts with the descent from the Forno Hut to the Forno Glacier. You then follow the eastern edge of the glacier southwards until you can turn left towards Cima di Val Bona. Just before its summit crest, turn right to reach the Passo Vazzeda (2965 m) without difficulties. The descent on the Italian side of the pass begins with a short steep slope and then continues over gentle, wide slopes to the northeast. You pass just right of the eastern ridge of the Cima di Val Bona and finally turn northwards into the Val Bona. At about 2370 m, prepare yourself for the second ascent, leading up to the Sella del Forno. Descending from there, you return to the Forno Hut.
