Fil da Rueun: A Ski Tour Between Ilanz and Brigels
Informationen zur Route
Best Time of Year
Description
The tour starts on the road between Rueun and Pigniu, at the chapel of Sogn Francestg. The slopes over alpine meadows up to Alp Miez are ideal for warming up. By this point, a longer break is likely needed. The vast slopes of Alp da Rueun feature increasingly short and steeper sections as you ascend. These should not be underestimated in tricky conditions. The word "Fil" comes from Romansh and means ridge or crest. In this case, the ridge is long and stretched out, almost endless. We describe the tour up to P. 2344, but you could also reach the summit at P. 2350, depending on your preference!
The descent is generally along the ascent route, allowing some room for small variations. If you wish, you can descend from Alp Stiarls to the mountain village of Siat.
