Description

The Domleschg, known for its numerous castles and fruit growing, lies on the right bank of the Hinterrhein and stretches from Sils i.D. to Feldis, which lies high above Rothenbrunnen.

The circular tour starts in Thusis and leads us via Sils i.D. up to Scharans. The historic village lies on a sunny terrace and has a townscape of national importance with stately and culturally historic buildings. Settlements were built here as early as the Bronze Age and Stone Age.

We continue up to the upper Almensstrasse, which leads us along the edge of the forest to Almens and offers us a magnificent view of the Heinzenberg opposite. Natural paths take us to the idyllic Canovasee lake, which invites us to take a breather. The route continues from Paspels to Tomils, before a relaxed descent to Rothenbrunnen.

Following the right bank of the Hinterrhein, the route takes us back to Thusis below the villages of Domleschg.
