Description

Domleschg, known for its many castles and fruit growing, lies on the right side of the Hinterrhein between Sils i.D. and Feldis, which is high above Rothenbrunnen.

The round route starts in Thusis and leads us via Sils i.D. up to Scharans. The historic village is located on a sunny terrace and has a villagescape of national importance with stately and culturally historic buildings. Settlements were already built here in the Bronze and Stone Age.

It continues up to the upper Almensstrasse, which leads us along the edge of the forest to Almens and offers us a magnificent view of the opposite Heinzenberg. On natural paths, we reach the idyllic Canovasee, which invites us to take a break. The route then continues from Paspels to Tomils, before it gently descends to Rothenbrunnen.

Following the right bank of the Hinterrhein, it goes comfortably back to Thusis below the villages of Domleschg.
