Description
From Jenaz station you go across Rüti-Bridge on the sunny side of the valley. After the first rise you walk on a track across the fields inwards the valley. From here you can enjoy a great view to Jenaz and the surrounding farms and buildings on the opposite. The gravelled path is slowly ascending and you pass a number of bushes. After a left-hand bend you walk outwards the valley in the direction of Buchen. Before you cross the 'Eristöbeli' (a little gorge) there is a small path on your left going down to Jenaz. After about 50 metres you can admire one of the scarce, imposing and protected red beeches.
Back on the trail again you walk on across open country to Buchen. At the bottom of the place 'Baschär' there is a little inn called 'Vastuomerbeizli' which is open on two days of the week - so please pay attention to the hours of business. You now walk along the street to 'Hinterlunden'. Near the first houses the footpath turns off left in the direction of Pragg-Jenaz. This steep and winding trail takes you down to the river Landquart. Across a newly built footpath called 'Hirschsprung' you get to the other side of the valley from where it is not far to the station Furna in Pragg.
