Description
The hike starts at the top end of the cable railway Sassauna (also called 'Eggli') with an easy ascent, past the restaurant Sassaune (the only possibility to stop for food and drink). You walk over grazing land up to the foot of the mountain Sassauna (Trinkbrunnen). This is where the trail starts up to Luderer Egg with a maravellous view down to the village Seewis and the front Prättigau. At the signpost Luderer Egg you can see on the right the Schesaplana, 2964 metres high, and it is here where the trail branches off to the mountain hut Schesaplana. Below this signpost you can see the alp Ludera.
You walk on along the ridge to Luderer Egg from where you follow the trail towards Munt. The descent across mountain pasture and forest down to Munt is quite steep. When you reach Unter Munt the trail leads into a gravel forest road which leads to the forester's lodge Längtanne (campfire site of Schweizer-Familie). From here the road is tared. Soon you will step out of the forest and see the village of Fanas . From where the road divides it either takes ten minutes to walk up to centre of the village Fanas or else to walk downhill to the bus stop Fanas Neugaden.
