How does the Bern November Window work?

From November 1 to 30, 2025, the city of Bern will become a stage for bright surprises: A new "November Window" will open every day - lovingly decorated and festively staged.

The idea may be familiar from "Advent windows" in the countryside - in Bern, it will simply be celebrated a little earlier. Every evening from November 1 to 30, a new window is unveiled at a different location in the city. Behind each window is a local business, a neighborhood association or a creative initiative.

On the opening day, the locations are ceremoniously opened - sometimes with mulled wine, sometimes with music or sometimes with a light spectacle. If you are in the right place at the right time, you can look forward to atmospheric encounters and lovingly designed settings.

The windows remain visible until Christmas and enrich the streets and squares of the federal city during the actual Advent season. A stroll through the November windows is therefore worthwhile in more ways than one.
