Bärenhorn in the far Safiental valley

Description
Those arriving by public transport start the tour by shouldering skis for around 800 meters to the parking lot at the small reservoir. From there, it's a wonderful winter hiking trail. At the very end, appropriately called “Z`Hinderst”, the valley becomes narrower and more alpine. The route leads under the “Chrachen” and over the very steep slopes up to the high valley at Lengegga. Now you can see the summit for the first time and know that you still have a long way to go to reach your destination - around 600 meters in altitude. But anyone with an eye for the beautiful ski touring slopes will know how worthwhile the ascent to the summit is. The imposing height of the Bärenhorn now offers an equally fantastic view of the mountains of Graubünden and the southern Alps.
The descent follows the ascent route. It offers great slopes that you won't soon forget. You will often still find powdery slopes here when other tours have long been dominated by crushed snow.
