Alpwäg Trail Nr. 3

The Alpwäg Trail starts at the Sibet Schirli. The Alpwäg Trail serves as an extension of the Wetterhorn Trail No. 1, so you start at the Hotel Wetterhorn and follow the Wetterhorn Trail No. 1 or No. 2 to the Sibet Schirli. From there the trail turns left. With a view of the Reeti and the Grindelwald-First winter sports area, the trail winds through the forest and across meadows to Alpwäg. To the left of the slope, the descent now begins towards Stählisboden. Thanks to the impressive view of the Mättenberg and the Wetterhorn, time passes far too quickly and you already reach the Grindelwald - Grosse Scheidegg road. From here you can take the bus back to Grindelwald. If you want to extend the trail, you have two options. Shortly after crossing the road, you come to Mühlebach Trail No. 4. Turn left and climb back to the starting point at Hotel Wetterhorn. Descend to the right to the church in Grindelwald.
