Alpine Panorama Trail Section 4: Schwägalp - Stein SG

The fifth stage of the Alpine Panorama Trail begins at the Säntis Hotel, nestled in a beautiful mountain setting. Over pastures, short forest sections and past numerous streams, you hike downhill to Lutertannen for a little more than an hour. The area around Schwägalp is listed in the inventory of landscapes of national importance. Large parts of the moorland are protected so that many habitats for plants and animals can be preserved.After Lutertannen, the ascent to the Risipass follows. The view of the surrounding mountains invites you to take a breather. Finally, descend across lush meadows and alpine pastures to the stage destination in Stein (SG).
