170.1 Sparenmoos Loipe, classic + skating

The Sparenmoos cross-country ski trail enjoys a beautiful mountain setting. The area at the foot of the Hundsrügg above Zweisimmen has already served as the venue for the Swiss cross-country skiing championships. The trail includes a varied mosaic of moors, meadows and small groves of trees.Due to its particular beauty and the variety of moorland types here, the area around Sparenmoos-Nujeberg, through which this trail runs, is considered to be a moorland of national importance.

The cross-country ski trail on the snow-sure, sun-kissed high plateau impresses with a varied route through the gentle hilly landscape. It enchants with a fantastic view from the Stockhorn to Les Diablerets. From the start at Berghaus Sparenmoos, the route first heads towards Site-Alp, from where the view of the Simmental opens up. From there, you make your way back towards Sparenmoos. If you wish, you can round off your cross-country skiing experience with a snack made from regional products at the Buvette right by the finish.
