W33 Hiking trail to the Fondue Caquelon Wispile

It’s an easy ride by gondola to the Berghaus Wispile (1,907 metres above sea level), where the hike starts. Follow the mountain ridge towards Gsteig/Lake Lauenen and admire the panoramic scenery. After about 40 minutes you will reach the giant Fondue Caquelon to your right. It can accommodate up to eight people and cannot be reserved.

The way back: You can hike back the same way to the Wispile mountain station or extend your hike towards Chrine-Lake Lauenen or Chrine-Gsteig.

Do take note of the mountain railways operating hours.

Direct access with mountainbike is possible. There is no direct access by car to the giant fondue caquelon.
