Experience the Rhine: Möhlin/Schwörstad - Kaiseraugst/Herten

We cycle along the Rhine and are often in the shade of the forest. The route alternates between asphalt and dirt road. There are various rest areas and pubs in the villages where you can take a break. If you want to or don't want to, you can end the tour early on both sides of the Rhine and change to the train at one of the many railroad stations.

Another highlight is the ferry between Kaiseraugst and Herten. However, the operating times of the ferry vary greatly depending on the time of year. If the ferry is not running, we cross the Rhine downstream at the Augst - Wyhlen power station. The power station is unique in that it consists of a joint dam and one power station on the Swiss and one on the German side. And perhaps we can just see a large ship passing through the lock on the Swiss side?
