Up the Furggelenstock

Description
From Brunni near Alpthal, this hike leads up to the Furggelenstock (1,656 m above sea level), a popular vantage point above the Alptal valley. The ascent leads through sparse forest and across lush pastures, past scattered alpine buildings and with ever-changing views of the imposing Gross Mythen and the Muota Valley. Once you reach the top, a 360-degree panorama opens up: to the south, you can see as far as the Uri Alps, while Lake Zurich appears on the horizon to the north. The circular hike can be done in both directions and offers numerous quiet corners for a rest in nature along the way.
The tour is particularly suitable from May to October, when the paths are dry and the alpine flora is in full bloom. In late autumn, the view of the sea of fog often offers particularly atmospheric impressions.
