Traditional alpine pasture village Vanescha from Vella

The technically easy bike tour to Vanescha can be started at various locations in Val Lumnezia. Our tour starts in Vella and first takes us along the footpath past the Davos Munts bathing lake and on to Davos Munts Dadens. We continue through Val Tiarm to above Vignogn, where we follow the hiking trail signposts towards Lumbrein. At Uaul da Curschaias, take the forest road straight ahead and follow the signs for Senda Lumneziana as far as Vrin. Shortly after Vrin, the road branches off to the left at the sawmill. A short descent is followed by a long ascent up to the picturesque Mayan village of Vanescha. After a hearty picnic, we pack our bags again and take the same route back to Vella.
